What is Harmonics? Harmonics can cause power quality problems. It is the electric voltage and current on an electric system. This will cause abnormality in the power quality. Electrical machinery will fail or malfunction. When harmonic voltage and current levels are high values, the harmonic distortion will occure. Harmonics has become a growing concern for facilities, plants using automation equipment. Harmonics can cause:

Harmonics is responsible for circulating high voltage and currents caused by harmonic resonance. This causes the equipment’s to fail or malfunction. The main reason is voltage and current distortion.
